  • Five Indications Your Organisation Could Benefit from an MFT | GSA

< News Five Indications Your Organisation Could Benefit from an MFT 20 May 2025 Data is the lifeblood of a modern business. Your ability to safely store and move data is fundamental to your daily operations. Your efficiency in moving and using data determines the overall speed at which your business operates. So it’s worth taking a few moments to consider how to potentially improve the way your team currently stores, protects and moves your valuable organisational data. Are they still relying on outdated file transfer protocols like FTP? Are they trusting your data to a hodge-podge of risky ad-hoc cloud dropbox-style services? Are they relying on years-old hand-coded file transfer scripts? There’s a better – safer, more robust, faster, more efficient, fully automated – way: Managed File Transfer (MFT). Here are five key indicators that your business may be ready to benefit from an MFT solution. Using Outdated Ways to Send Data? A surprising number of organisations still rely on outdated protocols and clunky scripts to move precious data around. However, these legacy methods increase the risk of human error, take time away from more critical tasks, and are difficult to maintain. An MFT is easy to use, easy to audit, requires little maintenance, and removes manual tasks from your stretched IT team’s To Do list. Increasingly Targeted by Cybercriminals? Your IT team can tell you how many cybercrime incursions they’re seeing daily. The number may shock you! With hackers escalating their efforts to extort your business and customers, it’s more essential than ever to secure your data and maintain a ‘circle of trust’ with your supply chain partners. An MFT solution, such as GoAnywhere MFT, employs the latest encryption algorithms to reduce the risk of data breaches during transit. Features like Access Controls, and Multi-factor Authentication, safeguard sensitive information from unauthorised access. New Government Regulations? In response to the impacts of escalating cybercrime on businesses and citizens, governments are imposing ever greater requirements on businesses to ensure they protect consumers’ personal data. From health data (hospital records, test results), to banking data (debit and credit card numbers, bank account details), to identity data (home address, government id), businesses that fail to take responsible measures to protect sensitive data face growing sanctions. Worse, a breach may not only cost your organisation time and money to remediate, it may also ruin your reputation. An MFT solution helps ensure your file transfers comply with regulatory requirements. Features such as auditing, reporting, role-based access, secure protocols, centralised security controls, encryption, and key management protect employee and consumer data from security mishaps. Cloud Dependencies? Many organisations have moved business processes to the cloud, and regularly exchange files with trading partners there. But transfers to and from the cloud – especially those over public telecommunications networks – require extra protection. From streamlining and automating cloud file transfers to platforms like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, to integrating with popular web and cloud services like SharePoint and Google Drive, using an MFT makes working with partners in the cloud smooth, reliable and safe. Evolving Network Conditions? Research shows that a single hour of system downtime can easily cost a medium-sized business a six-figure sum. As organisations and trading partners become increasingly integrated, it’s critical that file transfers are performed without delay or disruption. Whereas a document containing a batch of important transactions may once have been delivered over several hours, today’s fast pace of business requires it to take mere seconds. An enterprise-calibre file transfer solution should have a high availability plan in place. The right solution will provide active-passive and active-active (i.e. clustering) methods for organisations who need to keep their processes running no matter the situation at hand. Clustering provides the best high availability by running multiple servers simultaneously. Therefore, if one goes down, file transfers and workflows will continue to run on other servers so communication with your trading partners won’t be interrupted. The Leading MFT If any of these indicators ring true for you, it may be time to consider upgrading to an MFT solution. The acknowledged leading MFT, GoAnywhere, is an all-in-one solution, automating and encrypting file transfers from a centralised dashboard. GoAnywhere saves businesses time, money, and reputation. • Local Businesses most at risk of Phishing Attacks: study | GSA

< News Local Businesses most at risk of Phishing Attacks: study 9 Apr 2024 A new study has found that employees in the Asia-Pacific region are more likely than any others worldwide to unwittingly expose their organisation to cybercrime. Fortra's newly-released study found 10% of employees worldwide will open a ‘phishing’ email sent to them. In Asia-Pacific, that number climbs to 14.9% – worse than any other region. Even more concerningly, 61% of those who fall for a bogus email will go on to disclose their password. The results of the experiment demonstrate the serious ongoing threat to local organisations posed by employees who are either uneducated on cybersecurity threats, or unmotivated to mitigate those risks. If you would like a copy of Fortra's report on the study, including helpful advice on how to address your cybersecurity challenges, please let me know – I’ll be happy to send you a copy. #mft #managedfiletransfer #sft #securefiletransfer #cybersecurity Previous Next

  • Cyber Security and The Illusion of Invisibility | GSA

< News Cyber Security and The Illusion of Invisibility 18 Aug 2025 When it comes to cyber theft, the bigger the firm, the bigger the headline. Optus, Medibank, Qantas, Latitude Financial, and the ANU… all of these high-profile Australian organisations have endured unwelcome time in the spotlight after mishandling their customers’ data. Widespread public familiarity with their brands, as well as their large customer bases, made them more prone to negative media attention when their cyber security lapsed. Smaller businesses – equally big targets The media’s focus on the cyber travails of large organisation can inadvertently create a false sense of security among medium and smaller organisations. That is, because there’s barely any media coverage of cyber theft from less well-known organisations, medium and small companies can be lulled into dangerous complacency about just how vulnerable and targeted they are. The reality is that medium and smaller organisations are prime targets for hackers. Illusion of Invisibility Because they’re not in the headlines, many medium and smaller businesses assume they’re “flying under the radar” as targets for cyber criminals. However, that’s exactly what makes them appealing targets. Hackers reason that medium and smaller firms likely lack the hardened defences of larger organisations – while still harbouring significant and attractive amounts of sensitive customer data. Stats tell Story Statistics from the most recent Annual Cyber Threat Report from the Australian Signal Directorate (ASD) add further perspective to the comparative threat. Last year, more medium-sized businesses reported “Extensive Compromise” cyber attacks than large businesses. The same was true in the next lower category of cyber severity, “Isolated Compromise”. Tellingly, large organisations reported more than three times the rate of success in repelling low-level malicious attacks vs medium-sized organisations. A further alarming insight is that the average financial loss incurred by medium-sized organisations due to cybercrime was almost identical to the average financial loss for large organisations. Smaller Size, Larger Vulnerability The 2024 Sophos Threat Report found that the sophistication of cyberthreats faced by small to medium organisations is often on par with those used to attack large enterprises. In forums on the dark web where cyber criminals trade tips, it’s been said that the spoils from breaching a larger number of medium-sized organisations more than offsets the returns from less frequently successful attacks on large organisations. Sophos found that organisations with fewer than 500 employees were more vulnerable to cyber criminals. Underinvestment in cybersecurity, generally smaller information technology budgets and sometimes, less-experienced IT staff or outsourced providers, all contributed to this heightened vulnerability. Sophisticated Threat Landscape The cybercriminal ecosystem has evolved rapidly to become ruthlessly efficient. Mirroring the legitimate economy, it now features specialised roles and skillsets, intermediaries and brokers, and sophisticated black market networks to facilitate transactions. Ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) groups lease their code to affiliates, and Business Email Compromise (BEC) schemes exploit social engineering techniques to bypass technical protections. Infostealers quietly exfiltrate login data, payment card info, and browser-stored credentials before victims even realise that anything’s awry. Stepping Up Safeguards Businesses need to similarly evolve their safeguards. Spam filters and firewalls are no longer enough. The key to successfully defending against encroaching cyber threats is to use a multi-layered strategy which includes robust data transfer protection, phishing campaign detection, prevention of credential harvesting, employee training, and mitigation against BEC attack by analysing behavioural anomalies and sender authenticity in real time. A Secure Managed File Transfer solution such as the class-leading GoAnywhere MFT addresses the many risks of ad hoc techniques through a holistic approach to security, including: Automatic authentication, encryption and decryption User access controls Auditing and Reporting Continuous updates on the evolving threat landscape, and Industry standards compliance. A further defensive layer - our Advanced Threat Protection Bundle - can mask, remove, or permit Personally Identifiable Information to be moved within your organisation and beyond, via a Secure ICAP Gateway. Invisibility Isn’t Security Just because smaller firms aren’t in the headlines, don’t assume they’re not falling prey to cybercrime. The seductive illusion of “flying under the radar” is exactly what makes smaller organisations appealing targets. And, because they often lack the hardened defences of larger organisation - while still handling sensitive data - they’re more vulnerable to the threats. • Sound Advice on Choosing a New MFT | GSA

< News Sound Advice on Choosing a New MFT 7 May 2024 Tech Wire Asia , an independent tech news website that covers enterprise and technology across the Asia-Pacific region, offers sound advice to help companies choose a new Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution. The Shadow of Clop Tech Wire Asia issued their advice in the wake of attacks last year by Clop, a notorious ransomware group, on the online file transfer tool MOVEit. PWC’s Australian unit, Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad and Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad in Malaysia were among APAC region victims of Clop’s attacks. While Tech Wire Asia said it did not “insinuate an everlasting vulnerability in MOVEit or imply that its usage should be permanently discontinued”, it noted that it had received “a wave of enquiries from current and prospective customers about the continued safety of using MOVEit” in the wake of the attack. In response, the website offered this advice for those wishing to move on from MOVEit . Crucial Considerations Tech Wire Asia said the crucial consideration in choosing the best file transfer software is finding an MFT solution that is simple, capable of encrypting sensitive data, can automate transfers, meets compliance regulations, and operates seamlessly across various platforms. It noted that there are many aspects and features to consider while choosing MFT software, including: Average daily file transfer volume; Regulatory obligations; Industry-specific needs; and Budget. Other vital features could include: Advanced auditing and tracking abilities; Clustering functionality; Cloud integrations; Capability to translate EDI files; and Availability of remote agents. The website recommended that selecting the appropriate MFT solution should be driven by a company’s specific requirements. GoAnywhere MFT highly-regarded In its review of contenders to replace MOVEit, Tech Wire Asia described GoAnywhere MFT as “a sophisticated enterprise solution for transfers and file management”, saying that the product “excels at securing file transfers across multiple platforms, protocols, and encryption standards”. The website noted that GoAnywhere is designed for SMEs and Enterprises, and is deployable on-premise, in the cloud, or hybrid environments, enabling secure data exchange between organisations, employees, customers, and trading partners. In the capacity of enterprise-secure file transfer software, GoAnywhere shields data, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Its integration prowess also extends to applications like Salesforce and SharePoint. Try Before You Buy In conclusion, Tech Wire Asia “highly recommended” that customers moving on from MOVEit take advantage of a free trial of new MFT software. Previous Next

  • Aussie cyber staff “world’s most stressed”: survey | GSA

< News Aussie cyber staff “world’s most stressed”: survey 9 Oct 2024 Aussie cyber security workers are the world’s most stressed, according to a survey by international tech professional association ISACA. For its State of Cybersecurity 2024 report, ISACA surveyed 1,868 cyber security professionals from 102 countries, including Australia. They found that Australian cyber security workers are feeling more stressed in their jobs than their counterparts in any other country. Overly Complex, Under Resourced Respondents attributed the rising stress to Australia’s “increasingly complex threat landscape” and “continual under-resourcing” of their cyber security departments and roles. They reported lower budgets, higher hiring and retention challenges, and a more significant lack of prioritisation of cyber security risks than their global peers. Nearly half of all respondents believed their company’s cyber security budget was inadequate, and only a third expected it to be increased in the year ahead. As a result, most said they didn’t feel ready to combat the growing risk of a cyber-attack on their organisation. Burnout In a further worrying sign for Australian businesses, many cyber security professionals said the stress of their role had become so significant that they were considering moving on from their current organisation. Of those who had already left, 60% cited “stress” as the primary reason. ISACA’s Director of Professional Practices and Innovation, Jon Brandt, urged Australian employers to better mitigate the stress of their cyber defenders. “Employers (should) explore ways to support staff before burnout and attrition occur,” he said. ISACA said the increasing complexity of cyber attacks required additional effort, energy and intelligence from cyber professionals. It characterised the need to stay ahead of new technologies and digital weapons as “all-consuming”, and this explained why cyber pros in Australia were feeling the effects of increased stress in their roles. Most Australian respondents said they expected a cyber attack on their organisation during the next year. However, only 32% had a high degree of confidence in their team’s ability to detect and respond to the attack. Cyber Stress Relief Companies can take some of the load off their beleaguered cyber security staff by adopting automated, proactive and layered cyber defences. The goal is an always-on system which automatically secures, stores and transfers data, repelling cyberthieves before they gain access to company systems. The foundation of such an approach is a technology called “Managed File Transfer” (MFT). Paired with secure content engines and secure digital rights management, MFT is an optimal way to prevent data theft and cyber breaches. An MFT solution such as the class-leading GoAnywhere MFT keeps your organisation’s valuable data safe - at rest, and in transit. Coupled with an Advanced Threat Protection Bundle, it enables organisations to safely collaborate without exposing their systems or team to the risks of malware. This automated defence system protects your organisation’s data in three key ways: 1. It prevents files containing malware from being received, by scanning all inbound files and automatically stripping out embedded malware, triggered executables, scripts, or macros. 2. It blocks sensitive data from being shared, by inspecting file contents and stopping protected data from being shared, based on policies you define. 3. It redacts sensitive information from files before they are transferred, detecting and/or removing geotags, document properties, email addresses, and other metadata from documents. Local Help Available As your company’s stressed cyber professionals are signalling, today’s interconnected business environment makes cyber attacks inevitable. However, foiling these attacks no longer requires draining manual cyber surveillance. • The Value of 3rd-Party Reviews | GSA

< News The Value of 3rd-Party Reviews 7 May 2025 Third-party review sites can be a valuable source of insight for IT teams tasked with selecting the best software solution for their organisation. Reputable and long-established sites such as PeerSpot , SoftwareReviews , G2 , and Capterra can help identify which solutions are most widely used and highest rated within your industry. This can in turn help you proceed quickly to a decision on which solution(s) to trial. Reliable Reviewers Whether you’re looking for Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions or other software, it’s best to prioritise reviews on sites which have established themselves as trustworthy over the test of time and thousands of peer reviews. These sites capture the opinions of real product users sharing their real-life experiences – positive and negative. In fact, Gartner’s 2024 annual study of 2,499 software decision makers found that customer reviews and ratings were the most used information source by buyers, above personalised product demos, user guides, and case studies. More than a third of software buyers described reviews as “extremely important” to their purchase. Are Reviews Trustworthy? It’s illegal in Australia and New Zealand for businesses to create fake or misleading reviews or arrange for others do so. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission suggests the following red flags may indicate that a review is fake: · a spike in highly positive or negative reviews over a short period of time; · many reviews written from the same email or IP address; · similar reviewers’ names; · generic reviews without specific detail about the business or product; and · reviews written in similar language as other reviews for the same business or product. Thankfully, the trusted third-party sites I listed above have processes in place to weed out dubious software reviews. They also publish the measures they take to assure the validity of the reviews they receive. Other Sources of Insight Beyond peer reviews, here are some other useful resources to consult when selecting the right software solution for your business. · Case studies : Demonstrate how businesses are using the solution; · Product videos : Illustrate solutions’ features and benefits; · Webinars : Subject matter experts demonstrate the configuration and use of the solutions; and · Written Resources : Provide a variety of reader-friendly explanations and examples Local Advice and Guidance At Generic Systems Australia, we have decades of experience installing and supporting the world’s premier MFT , GoAnywhere, across Australia and New Zealand. • Secret Ransomware Payments Rife: Survey | GSA

< News Secret Ransomware Payments Rife: Survey 19 Aug 2024 Pervasive cyberattacks are leading most companies to pay ransoms and break their “Do Not Pay” policies, according to recent research. A poll of IT and security decision-makers conducted by Cohesity found that that most companies have paid a ransom in the last two years. In fact, 79% of respondents said their company had been the victim of a ransomware attack during the second half of 2023. The breadth of an organisation’s “attack surfaces” depends on the size and scope of its data environments. However, 78% of respondents said their data security risk had increased faster than the growth in the data they manage. They also said their organisation’s cyber resilience and data security strategies had not kept pace with emerging threats – only 21% had full confidence in their company’s cyber resilience strategy. Slow Recovery, Lack of Testing Cyber resilience is a critical element of business continuity, and encompasses a company’s ability to recover their data and restore business processes when they suffer a cyberattack or IT outage. Key insights from the survey on this point included: All respondents said they need more than 24 hours to recover data and restore business processes. Only 7% said their company could recover data and restore business processes within 1-3 days. 35% said they could recover and restore in 4 to 6 days, while 34% need 1-2 weeks, and 23% need more than 3 weeks. Only 12% of those surveyed said their company had stress-tested their data security, data management, and data recovery processes or solutions in the six months prior to being surveyed. 46% hadn’t tested in more than 12 months. Secret Ransom Payments While 84% had a “do not pay” policy, Cohesity reported that 94% of respondents divulged that their company would pay a ransom to recover data and restore business processes. 5% said “maybe, depending on the ransom amount”. Two thirds said their company would be willing to pay over US$3M to recover data and restore business processes, and a third said their company would be willing to pay over $5M. Don’t Pay: Prevent! The volume, frequency, and sophistication of ransomware attacks will only increase. And paying ransoms only encourages cyberthieves to escalate their efforts. Worse, if ransoms are seen as “easy money”, new miscreants will be tempted to acquire ransomware tools from the dark web and join the cyber crimewave. Rather than investing in ransoms, organisations need to invest in their cyber resilience. That starts with keeping thieves at bay - protecting valuable data where it is stored, and when it is transferred – and building organisational capability in rapidly responding to and recovering from cyberattacks. Building cyber resilience need not be a drag on an organisation’s efficiency. Automation can ensure data is protected at rest and in motion, requiring little to no manual management. For example, Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions such as the class-leading GoAnywhere MFT encrypt data at rest and in transit, complying with the highest data security standards (including the US’s and Europe’s HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS, SOX, and GDPR). MFT manages inbound and outbound file transfers across an organisation, using industry-standard file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and AS2 to send files securely, and encryption standards such as Open PGP and AES to protect data in transit and at rest. Advanced Threat Protection and Adaptive Loss Prevention add a further layer of defence. SFT Threat Protection enables safe collaboration with external parties, preventing malware from entering your organisation, and reducing opportunities for employees to lose or mishandle sensitive data. Local Expertise Ready to Help Generic Systems Australia are your local experts in Managed File Transfer and Advanced Threat Protection. We’ve assisted hundreds of organisations across the Asia-Pacific region to secure their data, keep cybercriminals at bay… and keep ransomware off the books. I’m always happy to have an obligation-free discussion, explain how simply we can transition you from outdated software and approaches, and offer you a zero-cost Proof of Concept. About the survey: Cohesity’s findings are based on a survey of 902 IT and Security decision-makers (split as close to 50:50 as possible) commissioned by Cohesity and conducted by Censuswide. Survey respondents were polled from businesses in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The top five industries selected by respondents as best representing the industry their company operates in were: IT & Telecommunications, Finance, Healthcare, Finance, HR, and Manufacturing & Utilities. • Why LOCAL Support Matters | GSA

< News Why LOCAL Support Matters 15 Apr 2025 When you’re researching which software solution to invest in, it’s easy to become fixated on the minutiae of product features and technical specifications. Sure, these are important. However, experience has taught many Australian and New Zealand businesses the value of a further consideration that’s equally as important – the availability of local customer support and technical expertise. A key question to ask – especially for those of us operating businesses in a distant time zone on the far side of the planet – is: “Who do I turn to if there’s a problem?” Because that’s the moment when the value of true local customer support becomes really apparent! Beyond FAQs, Reddit & Chatbots FAQs, social media forums and chatbots can be helpful. But when it comes to IT systems, this kind of self-service can only help you so far. In a crisis, having genuine local human expertise and support available is invaluable . This is particularly true when it comes to integrative solutions such as Managed File Transfer (MFT). These often require expert configuration to integrate with the other software your organisation depends upon for daily operations. While the best MFTs can have your team up and running quickly for even complex, multi-step workflows, some scenarios – for example, establishing a disaster recovery environment, or setting up hybrid file transfer approaches – may require MFT vendor support. That’s why the breadth and depth of local support should be a key consideration when choosing an MFT solution. The Tyranny of Distance Access to local expertise and support is even more important for Australian and New Zealand businesses, operating as we do in what the rest of the world views as a smaller market in remote location and time zone. That can lead some vendors to – deliberately, or by omission – deprioritise customer support for Australian and New Zealand businesses. (How many times – either as consumers or business owners – have you needed support during our local business hours… only to realise that overseas customer support and technical support personnel are still sound asleep, or clocked off for the weekend?) A vendor which provides “boots on the ground” in Australia and New Zealand - ready and willing to service local customers’ needs – is a real advantage. Beyond Emergencies The value of having human experts available locally extends far beyond those critical moments when IT systems have failed. Professional services – such as end user training, and knowledge transfer to your IT own support personnel – are also valuable advantages. Key Customer Support Questions for Software Vendors Here are some important support questions I recommend you ask a software vendor when assessing which software solution will be best for your organisation: What hours do you provide customer support? Are technical experts available locally ? Are your technical staff expert in this specific solution? How many times have your technical staff deployed your solution to A/NZ businesses? What training do you offer? Can it be customised? Is it interactive or demonstration-led? Can I review a course outline before purchasing sessions? Is certification available for my team? What professional services are available, and how do you deliver them? Is Migration Assistance available? How are customer issues prioritised within your Customer Support team? What is the process for submitting a Support Request? Is there a Customer Portal available for downloading the latest updates, release notes, and documentation? Learning from Others’ Experiences The experiences of fellow customers can help bring the advantage of local support into sharp focus. Browsing third-party review sites such as G2, Software Reviews, and Capterra, you’ll find many reports from MFT customers about their dealings – positive and negative – with various MFT vendors’ support services. They make for thought-provoking reading! In addition, here are some expert reports and summaries comparing MFT offerings and customer service arrangements. • 5 Indicators You Need an MFT Solution | GSA

< News 5 Indicators You Need an MFT Solution 5 May 2026 Every modern organisation is critically dependent on transferring sensitive data between employees, customers and trading partners. Just one wrong move by an employee - for example, failing to encrypt a sensitive file - could land you with a huge fine, and lose customers’ trust. So, it’s worth spending a moment to consider how your team is performing the regular, essential task of moving data around. And, to ask yourself: “Is it time they used a safer and more efficient way to transfer data?” Here are some of the key signs that your business is ready for a Managed File Transfer solution. Indicator #1 : Risky Old Tech Some organisations still rely on outdated protocols and clunky scripts to move precious data around. However, that increases the risk of human error, takes time better spent on other tasks, and is difficult to maintain. A Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution like GoAnywhere MFT is easy to use, easy to audit, requires little maintenance, and removes manual tasks from your stretched IT team’s To Do list. Sign #2 : Cybercriminal Incursions Your IT team are seeing exponential growth in attempted cybercrime incursions. So it’s more essential than ever before to secure your data and maintain a “circle of trust” with your supply chain partners and customers. A leading MFT, such as GoAnywhere MFT, employs the latest encryption algorithms to reduce the risk of data breaches during transit. Features like Access Control and Multi-factor Authentication safeguard sensitive information from unauthorised access. Sign #3 : Increased Compliance Requirements In response to escalating cybercrime, governments and industry regulators are imposing ever greater requirements on business to protect consumers’ personal data. From health data (hospital records, test results), to banking data (debit and credit card numbers, bank account details), to identity data (home address, government id), businesses that fail to take responsible measures to protect sensitive data face growing sanctions. A single breach may not only cost your organisation time and money to remediate, it may ruin your reputation. A leading MFT, such as GoAnywhere MFT, helps ensure your file transfers comply with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITECH, and GDPR. Features like auditing, reporting, role-based access, secure protocols, centralised security controls, encryption, and key management protect employee and consumer data from harmful security mishaps. Sign #4 : Reliance on the Cloud Many organisations have moved business processes to the cloud and now exchange files regularly with trading partners via cloud platforms. From streamlining and automating cloud file transfers to platforms like Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure, to integrating with popular web and cloud services like SharePoint and Google Drive, working with a partner in the cloud using an MFT is a smooth, reliable and safe process. Sign #5 : Changed Network Conditions A single hour of system downtime can cost a medium-sized business a six-figure sum. As organisations and trading partners become increasingly integrated, it’s critical that file transfers are performed without delay or disruption. Reading the Indicators If any of these five indicators hold true for your business, it’s time to consider upgrading to a secure MFT such as GoAnywhere. The acknowledged leading software, GoAnywhere MFT is all-in-one solution, automating and encrypting file transfers from a centralised dashboard. It not only simplifies the completion of critical business initiatives, but also reduces the time spent on manual file transfers and in-house processes. GoAnywhere saves businesses time, money, and reputation. < News Respond to the Interest Rate Rise by Increasing Your Data Efficiency. 9 Feb 2026 Following the Reserve Bank’s decision to hike interest rates it’s once again time for Australian businesses to explore ways to minimise economic headwinds. Business analysts suggest these potential approaches: Improve Productivity and Efficiency : Review processes and output and look at ways to improve or streamline your operations, such as automation of processes including business software. Strategically Cut Costs : Review your current service providers and contracts and compare to the current market. Revisit Your Banking and Financial Products : Look beyond the short-term and make sure the interest rate on your business loans is competitive. Develop a Pricing Strategy : Look at ways to leverage or bundle existing goods and services. Reconsider Your Supply Chain : Consider reducing risks by finding a domestic supplier to slash the costs of freight and storage. Review Workforce Arrangements : Consider offering flexible work arrangements, nine-day fortnights, and training and development opportunities - particularly those subsidised by government. Improving Data Efficiency One key way to improve the efficiency of your business is to reconsider how it transfers data between employees, with customers, and with supply chain partners. It’s a core process for every modern business, and that makes it a prime target for improving efficiency, productivity and cost saving. Many businesses are still relying on manual data transfers. Employees attach files to emails or use ad-hoc cloud sharing platforms like Dropbox and the like. The time that’s wasted by these manual data transfers – by every employee, every day – adds up to significant levels of cumulative incremental headcount. And then there’s the heightened risk of human errors, and exposure to cybercrime, through inadequate security on such transfers. More Efficient, Safer, Less Expensive A Managed File Transfer solution, such as GoAnywhere MFT is a more cost-effective approach to moving data within your business and supply chain. In fact, a study by Aberdeen Strategy & Research found that businesses which invested in a professional Managed File Transfer solution: experienced 26% fewer issues with file transfers, resolved problems 4.8 times faster, and achieved a full return on investment in less than 12 months through elimination of the hidden costs of "free" or manual file transfer methods.
